Jennifer Patschke has served as Taylor ISD’s Director of Elementary Schools and Federal Programs. Jennifer supervises T.H. Johnson Elementary, Naomi Pasemann Elementary, and Main Street Intermediate. Jennifer is also responsible for evaluating all federal legislation, projects and programs for grant entitlement. In addition, she participates in drafting proposals and reports, including the writing and developing program goals, for submission of federal funds to the Texas Education Agency. Jennifer is committed to advancing a plethora of academic programs and needs across Taylor ISD by seeking federal funds. In this position, her primary goal is to obtain as many resources as possible to help the district to meet all students’ needs.
Though this is a relatively new role for Jennifer, she has been a diligent servant to Taylor ISD over the past 25 years. She has spent the last 12 years of her career as the Principal of Naomi Pasemann Elementary. Along with overseeing all facets of the school, including instructional programs, operations, personnel, budget and district policies, Jennifer implemented Stephen Covey’s Leader in Me curriculum to the school. As a result, Naomi Pasemann Elementary has been recognized as a “Leader in Me” campus and continues to promote leadership among all students, by emphasizing student lead tasks and projects. Additionally, Jennifer helped pioneer other key successful programs at the school, such as a love for reading program, which facilitates “pleasure reading” and a pursuit of higher education among students. Jennifer is dedicated to continuing elevating “little leaders” in her current position as Director of Federal Programs and Director of Career and Tech, in the capacity of seeking programs that will further the leadership abilities of all Taylor ISD students.
Jennifer has also served as an administrator at Northside Elementary and an Assistant Principal at Naomi Pasemann Elementary prior to becoming Principal. She has also been employed as an Elementary Technology Coordinator, Instructional Specialist, as well as a third and fourth grade teacher, where Jennifer first discovered her passion of inspiring students to become the best they can be.
Jennifer earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from Baylor University in 1991 and was honored as a member of the Dean’s List. She then furthered her education by earning a Master’s in Education emphasis in Curriculum and Instruction and a specialization in Instructional Technology from Houston Baptist University in 2003.
Jennifer’s ultimate passion in life is pursuing the expansion of her own knowledge, as well as promoting education and leadership among students of all backgrounds. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, reading, spending time with family and cheering on the Taylor Ducks and Baylor Bears.
