Miss Emily Gazeley

Assistant Band Director

Hello!

  • I'm from Round Rock, Texas. In 2013, I graduated from Pflugerville High School and went to Texas State University, majoring in Music Education with an instrumental focus in saxophone.
During my time at university, I performed in many ensembles such as the Bobcat Marching Band where I was a section leader, saxophone quartets, and all three concert wind bands to name a few. I've been on the Dean's list for 8 out of 9 total semesters and I was awarded the TMEA Collegiate Music Educator award in November of 2017.

I graduated from Texas State in December 2017 and began substitute teaching as well as teaching lessons in the Central Texas area. I am currently the assistant band director here at Taylor Middle School. A few of my responsibilities include teaching beginning clarinet and saxophone and conducting the symphonic band. I also assist at Taylor High School as the woodwind specialist. In my spare time, I watch T.V. and movies with my family, go kayaking, and bake/cook.
