• If you have a heart to teach, Taylor ISD has partnered with TeachWorthy to equip YOU with the tools to be a successful educator. Due to the teacher shorts, TeachWorthy has developed a program entitled Elevate. The Elevate Program will serve to help an Instructional Assistant earn a bachelor's degree. While in this program, the staff member can be classified as a Teacher Apprentice and be in the classroom. The district will fund the college classes that the staff member needs to earn the degree, but the staff member will be responsible for the cost of the teacher certification program with Teachworthy in order to obtain their teaching certificate. This is applicable to any IA who has been in the district for 1 or more years. If you have any questions regarding this program, please reach out to Jennifer Patschke at jhp@taylorisd.org.
