Misty Houston joined the Taylor Independent School District team as the Instructional Technology Integration and Communication Coordinator in July 2021. Misty has transitioned to the College, Career, Military Readiness Coordinator, servicing CTE, Advanced Academics and PTECH development. She comes to us from Buffalo ISD where she was the CTE Director and teacher. Misty has taught K-12 PE, Technology, and Family Consumer Science over her 20+ years in education.
Misty's education background includes graduating from Stephenville High School, Texas A & M University - Corpus Christi with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and University of North Texas with a Masters of Science in Learning Technologies.
Misty is married to Brandon Houston, Athletic Director and Head Football Coach of Taylor ISD. They have a daughter, Mackenzie, a student at Sam Houston State University.
