I am thrilled to be teaching functional academics at NPE and to be part of such a warm and dynamic community.  Taylor is a wonderful place to teach and learn, and I feel lucky to be in this profession doing what I love.  I strive to create a caring, safe, and engaging learning environment, which encourages students to believe in themselves and to do their personal best.

I am from Rockdale, TX and graduated from high school there. I went to college at Texas State University in San Marcos. This will be my fifth year teaching Life Skills.  I have taught at Wimberley High School, Buffalo Junior High, and this is my second year at NPE. 

My husband Pete Heintze coaches and teaches at Taylor High School. We met in high school and have been married for 7 years. We have two children, Hadley (4) and Zayne (2). We love it here in Taylor!
